 Harmful effects of soft drinks on humans,

Soda is bad for health. Widespread evidence indicates that sugar-sweetened and diet soda can contribute to weight gain, tooth decay, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular problems.


You would hardly find anyone on this planet who wouldn’t have heard about soft drinks.

 Which is more than 100 years old expanded very fast from West to East due to its special taste and a very profitable business model. One of the most valuable brands sells 1.8 Billion units every single day across 200 countries. Now, if we talk about its impact on our health,

 Soft drinks have done more harm than good.

Do you know how harmful it is for our body!! Let’s see what exactly happens in our body within 60 minutes after consumption of it.

 One can of soft drink around -8 to -10 teaspoons of sugar, which is much more than the -6 teaspoons limit prescribed by WHO for 1 full day of consumption. 



And having so much sugar on the go should be like a shock to our body and we should most probably vomit. But, it contains Phosphoric acid as well, which allows the drink to go through.

 Liver Is Effected Due to High Intake Of Suger In Soft Drinks.



Due to high sugar intake, blood sugar level increases within 20 minutes of Drinking. The liver then turns a high amount of sugar into fat. Within 40 minutes, all the Caffeine present in the soft drink will be absorbed and the blood pressure increases.

Dopamine happy hormone

Then Dopamine is released. It is a hormone that gives us a feeling of pleasure. brain feels good and knowingly or unknowingly it wants to do it again. It’s the same reason you want to drink it often. Because of this, the interest in soft drinks increased and it becomes a kind of addiction.




 After 60 minutes, the Phosphoric acid which came with soft drink will bind the essential minerals like Calcium, Zinc, Magnesium already present in the intestine. You will get an urge to urinate and water which was present in soft drink, along with these essential minerals will be out of your body. These would have been absorbed by the body as per its need. 

One solution would be to switch to drinks having no sugar like Diet soft drinks.

 Diet soft drinks.



The Aspartame .

artificial non-saccharide sweetener 200 times sweeter than sucrose, and is commonly used as a sugar substitute in foods and beverages.



Which is way better than itself. Diet drinks generally contain Aspartame which is safe to use in limits.it is much better than sugar but excess of anything is not good. There are various claims that excess usage of Aspartame, is directly linked to many diseases, though any proven result is yet to be found.

Diet soft drink also contains caffeine which is also harmful.



Diet soft drink also contains caffeine which is also harmful. Also, the Calcium present in the body Is reduced by the Effect of Diet soft as well, which is not something you would ever want to happen, considering the fact that it plays an important role in our bones, heart. 

To Summarize, 

 soft drink is harmful, but diet drink can be a much better option.

A single can of Diet drink won't do much any harm.
